The goal of this site is to make you aware of the reality of options, or lack there of, that you have before you leave the planet. One would think this subject matter would be a major concern in this world, but sadly, few seem to care. There is a REALITY in regard to the situation we as humans find ourselves in. This webpage is an attempt to explain why we are here and where we are going after we die. Below are five truths given in a, read-in-one-sitting, format.
I hope this message is beneficial.
1. There is one God
Seems rather absurd to think that there are multiple gods fighting over supremacy. Since no man has seen God at any time, it stands to reason that one would have to look at creation to get a glimpse at the Creator. We live in a atmosphere conducive to order, beauty, variety and most importantly life, whether human, or otherwise. Thanks to written material, videos, and documentaries on the subjects, we can see the amazing lifestyles and unique habits of individual life, whether animal, bird, fish, or plant, not to mention the miracle of the human being. Our earthly home has an average temperature of about 71°. It is far enough from the sun not burn up, but close enough not to freeze. This planet is completely self-contained, supporting all forms of life.
Creation, in and of itself is a miracle, nothing short of it. Besides this, the Creator left His personal mark on His creation with the beauty of blue skies, white clouds, snow covered mountains, green valleys, blue oceans and lakes, sunsets over beautiful aired deserts, the fresh aroma after a rain.
Whether you look in a microscope or telescope, you see some amazing things that can only be explained by a supreme being. As one author put it, if you can't see God in creation, you could look up on a clear summer night sky and not see the stars.
2. The Bible
Without the word from this creator or supreme being we would be left to opinions and conjecture. Hence, the Word of God, His method of communication the Holy Bible. It's not just 66 books written by 40 authors, over 1500 years, it is the Creators means of communication to His creation. The most important subjects the Bible communicates, who is God, and how do we as human beings fit into His process. A.W. Tozer sheds light on the importance of this subject matter in his statement: "What comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
Let me say at the outset, our God is beyond definition or our capacity to define. He doesn't fit in our finite minds. He is Triune, three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, immutable, holy, righteous, and gracious. All His divine characteristics could and would take volumes to define, in and of themselves. An important truth to remember.... this Righteous and Holy God is the personification of TRUTH. He takes full responsibility for His creation, as well as His communication to man, namely the errorless Bible. The Bible is a supernatural book and can only be understood by supernatural aid. Our definition of reality is useless without the fact that God does exist and He is able and does communicate to His creation.
Lastly on this topic, a quote by J.C. Ryle, an author back in the late 1800's, from his book, Old Paths. It still has relevance today:
" ......it is a great fact that the Bible has had a most extraordinary effect on the conditions of nations in which it has been known, taught and read. I invite any honest minded reader to look at a map of the world, and see what a story that map tells. Which of the countries on the face of the globe at this moment where there is the greatest amount of idolatry or misgovernment, or disregard for life and liberty and truth. Precisely those countries where the Bible is not known. Which are the countries where liberty, and public and private morality have attended the highest pitch. The countries where the Bible is free to all, like England, Scotland, Germany, and the United States. Yes! When you know how a nation deals with the Bible, you may generally know what a nation is."
3. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is the centerpiece and focus of the Bible. There is more written about Jesus than any other person in history. He is called the Alfa and Omega, or the beginning and the end. The Old Testament introduces Him as the coming Messiah, Saviour of the world, Emmanuel, which means "God with us." He also is seen in the yearly Jewish sacrifices for sin, He is the "Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." He is also 100% man and 100% God. His reason for coming to planet earth some 2000 years ago was to live a faultless life, and die on a cross at Calvary. In His death He took our place as substitute because of our innate rebellion. His death opens the door of opportunity for us to have a living, ongoing personal relationship with the living God.
Something to think about:
“Optimism hopes for the best without any guarantee of its arriving and is often no more than whistling in the dark. Christian hope, by contrast, is faith looking ahead to the fulfillment of the promises of God.....Optimism is a wish without warrant; Christian hope is a certainty, guaranteed by God himself. Optimism reflects ignorance as to whether good things will ever actually come. Christian hope expresses knowledge that every day of his life, and every moment beyond it, the believer can say with truth, on the basis of God's own commitment, that the best is yet to come." ― J.I. Packer
4. Man
Let me start this segment by stating an important truth that seems to evade mans attention. We live, take space and time on this planet only because of our Creator, we are totally dependent on Him for our next breath. If our lives are to enjoy any reasonable success and happiness, it is because we follow His ways, not ours....this is REALITY. The Bible describes man as made in God's image, which shows man's intellect and ability to reason. Man is made up of three basic parts, body, soul and spirit. Our major problem as man on planet earth is we are at odds with our Creator. The spiritual side of man is dead at birth, and only comes to life through conversion and a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is where the Spirit of God enters a man, and man's spirit is awakened. The heart of the problem, man has to use his power of reason and freedom of choice to see through the idiocy, rebellion and arrogance of whats going on today in this world, and realize his negative position before his Creator, and give Jesus the drivers seat of his heart and life.......BE4UDIE. All the Religions on the planet then, are generally viewed as the means of ascent for man to his God, and they fall into two basic categories, one of faith, and the other of self effort or what the Bible calls "works." A life relationship of faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross, is where we give Him the total control of our lives. The other popular worldly version is what the Bible calls a system of which is a belief that you're basically a good person, and by following some basic rules or church membership you are good enough to make heaven. Worldly religion in general reduces God to manageable terms, where we get Him where we can use Him, but He is not in complete control, and the focus remains on self. Religion or relationship, and the real question, who's on the throne of our hearts?
The arrogance and depravity of man before God can be seen in many ways, one example is in the number of religions in the world today. The word "religion" has even taken on a whole negative connotation as of late, and rightly so. On a web site search for how many religions in the world, one site had the number at 2400 religions currently in the world today. Whether this is an accurate count or not, isn't the point. The real issue here is that the God of the Bible clearly states that there is only one way to stand before Him forgiven, and that is through His son Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. Jesus said, "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, no one comes to the Father but by me." For that reason He takes a very hard line against those who would call Him a liar, religious or not, and add to or subtract from His Word, whether organized group, or individual...not a good place to be my friend.
5.We are eternal
We as God's creation live forever, that's reality. In your minds eye picture a notebook sized piece of lined paper. From the middle of the page, look to the left and take a #2 sharpened pencil, put a dot. From the dot on the left draw a horizontal line to the right across the page. The dot represents life here on planet earth (short), the line represents eternity (forever). Which one should we be focusing on? Along with this issue, factor in there are two possible destinations after death, one with God's presence and blessings, one without. The location without God"s presence is hell, as you might of guessed. Both locations have two things in common, they are real and FOREVER! Heaven is beyond description, there we will be in God's presence, in a place He has prepared for us, where we are given place and position. In all of our activity we will be glorifying and enjoying Him, as well as enjoying ourselves. One thing you might keep in mind is, He made us, He knows what makes us tick, He knows what makes us happy. In Heaven we won't be disappointed! Hell, on the other hand, is a place meant for the devil and his cohorts, but because of man's rebellion, he can find himself there as well. Yes there is a Satan, and one reason the world seems to always head towards self destruction collectively and individually, is because of his influence.
Conclusion
Only the Bible gives you important life truths, as to who you are, why you're here, who God is, and what He has in store for humanity. God's wisdom and man's wisdom is at opposite ends of the spectrum, man's wisdom defines God as smaller than reality, and himself as larger. Beloved, as you read this today, alive, taking up time and space in God's presence, you have a monumental life choice to make. The world has turned their backs on Him, are you going to do it as well? Question; have you thought about your soul today and where it will spend eternity? Without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and His work on the cross, there is a certain real life eternity waiting for you away from God. Something to think about, as one author put it; To the believer in Jesus Christ, earthly existence is the closest thing to hell he'll ever experience. To the unbeliever earth is the closest thing to heaven he will ever know. Lastly, if you have questions or concerns regarding this information you have just read, I pray that you will ask Jesus Christ to show you the way. Also, you can email me at contactbe4udie@gmail.com. My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Blessings,
